What size generator to run stick welder?

    Lincoln Tombstone advice needed

While a machine with infinitely variable amperage settings are preferable, having predetermined tapped settings is a lot easier to learn on. Instead of fiddling up and down with a dial you learn to compensate with rod manipulation and/ or speed. One learns to change technique on the fly rather...

    Best welder for soft metal?

I am not a pro welder and as such will never do any code work but I also keep my 7018’s in a small rod oven. An excellent investment. Also NOT being a pro I find I can run a HOT 7018 WAY easier and with better results than a cold rod. But of course I realize that is just ME and is strictly...

Depends what area you are in. Around here they rigged it so that "owner " bottles of oxygen and acetylene are of useless sizes.

    #1 Acetylene bottle valves

That is how much I overpaid Air Liquide for more years than I care to admit!! I was a customer since the age of 16. Almost $200 per year for one oxygen and one acetylene bottle until I found an “alternative”.

Supplemental 120V MIG Welder - Everlast vs HF Titanium vs Other

That is what I did also. .035 wire machine with .023 loaded in the machine on top. I have a junction box on the cart so that they both share the same input power cord. I’m SO lazy I will oftentimes continue using the .035 for a project even though it is easy to switch. Pathetic, I know.....

Supplemental 120V MIG Welder - Everlast vs HF Titanium vs Other

Personally I would say don’t even think about that holding you back. I have used welders like that for years. Think of it as keeping it simple and having less adjustments to figure out. Set it according to the door chart and focus on technique.
