    I like that idea too! They can be made several different ways and will do the job. If you make your own it can be as heavy or light as you need for the log size you are working. My biggest is 18" and not many of them. Mostly 8 to 14 right now. bigger ones on down the road are possible.

    Ya! -- I have a jar of it and do use it on most bolts/nuts I mess with. Saves a LOT of headaches later on. I never plan on taking this 310 apart again, ---BUT they are notorius for breaking reverse idler gear needle bearings so I want the nuts and bolts like zippers on this one!

    any nut that is where you can get a big ole oxy/acy torch at will come loose. Had several on my Case 310 crawler final drive cases that had to be heated red hot TWICE before they came off! ---- will put new nuts back on when it goes back together. studs are fine, so just need new nuts!

    Any Hobart Welder Owners?

    I did have an old 200 amp engine drive that also had a 15 hp electric motor wound inside and was 440-3- phase . we ran it with direct connected 39 chevy 216 truck engine ans transmission with a governor from an Oliver 70 tractor. Welded for many years with it.
