    Metal supply

Well, just had my order canceled as none of the items were in stock due to supply chain issues. Had ordered some flat bar and sheets. Anyone know a good cheap source for these? HD/Lowes is still expensive and has low stock too.

Got 2 of the hoops welded up last night. Still learning the settings. Had the voltage up too high to start, wire does not dissipate heat like flat stock.

Wire for welding Lighted sphere - need source

Looking for thin mild steel rod or stiff wire to weld up a sphere to add xmas lights. Was thinking of making it about 36" tall and 16ribs with one inside rib aloncg the middle to hold shape. McMaster Carr seems to have thicker rods, looking for something thinner , but not too thin to bend...

Will need more info please. Does it look like you are getting a good puddle? Does it just not seem right ? Not enough heat? What are you trying to weld, or are you just checking to see if it is producing current?

Outdoor Art - Iron - Welder for a small project

I am looking at making a rectangular box with a Circular see through. I would use maybe 3/16 inch thick iron plate. Was looking at a welder and wondered of the HF Flux 125 would give enough heat to weld the plates together? These won't be supporting any weight, just a sculpture, maybe 3 feet...
