Fixing bucket, straightening bent cutting edge and welding on a new one.

That is what I did when I re-did the bucket for the B7500, it has worked well so far. Probably going to sell this tractor as a incomplete project, its not big enough to lift our big round bales and the wife doesn't like driving it. Aaron Z

Top came back (relatively) straight after I took the pressure off. Will probably hit it with the jack to fix anything that is left when I am done. Will probably try using a chain fall next to straighten the cutting edge, the links of the chain kept catching on the edge of the bucket when I was...

Fixing bucket, straightening bent cutting edge and welding on a new one.

Spent a few minutes yesterday with a battle jack and chains, the bucket is now straighter than it was but I'll probably try a little bit more before I put the new cutting edge on. Aaron Z

    Welding a wrought iron railing

Now we see where all that TBN advertising money is going :D Not sure what you've done so far, but the welders who have been putting in refrigeration piping at work have been using cardboard between what they're welding and the wall for any splatter to land on. Makes for a whole lot less clean up...

It would cost many times the $50 that I paid for it to ship it via UPS... Aaron Z

Yep, on my todo list. Haven't used the tractor recently so it hasn't been a risk. Aaron Z

Haven't gotten back to smoothing out the welds. Had 10 bales put away before I posted the pictures on this thread, looked and saw not an iota of movement, so I didn't re-weld it before doing the other 11 bales as I had more pressing things happening (driveway was getting paved, big project at...

No progress yet, welded a couple loops of half inch rod in bottom of the bucket and use that hold the bottom two legs of a 3 point hitch bale spear into the bucket to stack round bales. Ended up making 21 5 x 5 or 4 x 5 round bales, all stacked up in the barn out of the weather. Aaron Z

Converting a Truxcavator backhoe to trailer mount

Probably set up for digging in clay soils so that they are less likely to stick in the bucket. Aaron Z

Converting a Truxcavator backhoe to trailer mount

Got it off of the trailer and set on a pallet, hopefully picking up the trailer to mount it to this afternoon: Aaron Z

Converting a Truxcavator backhoe to trailer mount

Should be a short project to get working, my goal is to get it mounted to the trailer and get the hydraulics hooked up for now. Found a trailer that I like, will take a look at it on Monday. It was originally an orchard sprayer built on a truck frame. Going to take the pump/motor/tank off, then...

    Posts have fallen off lately

Made a HF run the other day and picked up a 3/4 ton lever chain hoist. Works really nice compared to the cable come alongs that I have used previously. Used it to winch the backhoe I bought onto the trailer. Aaron Z

Converting a Truxcavator backhoe to trailer mount

Picked up a Truxcavator backhoe the other day. It was originally meant to mount in place of a pickup tailgate with a pump that had an electric clutch. I plan on picking up a tall heavy trailer (such as a pickup frame, or currently looking at what was a medium duty truck frame), cutting it off...
