I have a new wire welder and would like advice as to which wire to purchase for a newbie.

Depends on what size spool your machine will accept. I use 10 pound spools on my Hobart but some machines will only take the smaller spools. Industrial machines will accept 50 pound spools. I use INE wire myself on 030 gage.

Actually used it for spray arc transfer at 215 amps, with 30 CFM of shielding gas.
