I have a 2017 F450 and had a hard time finding a place to mount my CB antenna. I decided to use my front receiver that I bought for bikes. I didn't like the bikes on the front so this was a perfect mounting platform for me. I like to have a little more communication when on the road. Someday I may move to a ham radio instead. I added a stainless steel step cover to the top so it is easier to reach into the engine compartment and not wear on the paint. (I started using bed liner spray for painting outside items. It lasts much better than paint.) The light on the receiver is an LED sealed clearance light.

This is an up coming project. I have a small HF horizontal band saw and the stand it is on sucks! Plus it's way to low (I'm 6-2) so I am going to build a taller sturdier table with an in feed table of sorts to support longer pieces.
Different brand, I'm only 5'11", but the same situation. My band saw now sits a foot higher, and it's still plenty low. I've made several other modifications, but don't seem to be able to locate a more recent picture.

I made this for my mother in law on Mother’s Day. I used mig welder miller 211 on 220 volt. This was an easy project . Took longer to prep and paint then weld. It consist of an old bicycle sprocket . Serval horseshoes which I get for free. And a piece of rebar I picked up at the dump from someone throwing it away( same person gave me the sprocket. So all in all I most of my material was free except the wire in the welder and the gas. Here is some pics

The next project has been on going. It’s a car I’ve been Varro around for 30 years or so . I bought it off my broth in 1985 and went through high school with it for my senior year. Time went on and it got in bad shape and sit so around 2014 I had finished building my shop and removed the body and realized I had a lot of work to do on the frame . I started repairing and welding on the frame and I was very inexperienced at welding. The more I did , the more I learned. Learned how to grind a lot.... well here is some of the pics of some of the work the first pics are before shot on the frame.

The last few pics are of the frame complete and powder coated. The frame is a boxed in frame so I did the internal frame coating from Eastwood To rust proof the inside. This was a fun project and I bought my miller 211 toward the end of this so it was used on the back half. One note is there was a point I had to put the frame in a frame jig and separate the crossmember and repair where the two meet in the frame. This had to be sent out to reflections in Cabot,Arkansas who did and exceptional job at making sure everything was on line. The welding is over until I separate the body pieces and do the bird cage and that will be later down the road. But I’ll update that also went I get to doing it . Any questions please feel free to ask. I’m Truly blessed to be able to learn the skill of welding and without this site, which ive stayed in the shadows and read and learn off of you all, and without the members here, I would not been able to accomplish this life long dream . in 1994 my brother was murdered and this is all I’ve had left of him. So this dream to came true to even get this this far is unbelievable. Thank you all!!!!!!

How about re-build?
I did a major overhaul/rebuild of my 3-point snow blower. Does that count?
I re shaped the fan blades as stones tent to twist them.
Hammered the augers back to position.
Replaced all the bearings.
LOL, and that for once while the weather was nice and not below 0.
OK, I'm 2 seasons early but ready.
Onto next project.

Well, the whole cultivator thing did not work out the way I wanted it,,
SO,,
I converted it into a bench for my daughter.

4vQO5fF.jpg

It is heavy, but, safe. No child can tip it over.
The wheels make it easy to move when it is time to mow.

This is Version 4 of my sheep shearing table. It helps restrain and position the sheep for shearing.
I am new to this group.
I live in Wisconsin.

I built a "toolrack" for the tractor. I can pull a wagon plus carry chainsaw, pruner, gas/oil and the tailgate doubles as a work shelf. The frame is mostly from re-purposed steel. Colour scheme is "Kubota"

I built a heavy hitch from new steel - ballast/hitch combo. The tractor weights are old Ford ballast I got from a local guy, sand blasted & repainted orange. I added a couple of lead bars I had - total 450lb.

Well it's been in the making but God gave me the gift and the ability to do this all by myself .. ongoing since 2013 .. amazing what we can do with steel and some welding wire ( 11 - 10lb rolls ) !
