IMG_1630.jpegIMG_1636.jpegIMG_1637.jpegIMG_1638.jpegMy project for last year was to fabricate a land plane for my compact tractor (Kubota BX 25D). I took a two day MIG course a couple years ago, and have basically practiced on my own since. Being retired, I wanted the challenge. The final piece weighs about 460 lbs. I weighed components as I worked up sections. The TPH attachment is set up for a Quick Hitch. After using it on a friend’s .9 mile driveway, I am in the process of retrofitting scarifiers. The original layout provided for them so the retrofit isn’t that hard. my welds are a bit inconsistent, mostly because I have trouble seeing the puddle while working. I keep trying to adjust the settings on my helmet to solve that problem.
