I guess for me right now, being a welding instructor whose students are off-center due to the Black Swan Disease, Distance Learning is my biggest project.

There are plenty of great videos of welding out there, but these students know me, and know my welding skills, and have a respect for that. Because counseling (welding career and life-skills) is about 80% of what I do, they really take what I say to heart, as compared to an unknown person on the web. So I have been doing welding videos for them so that when they do come back to the welding center, they will have some insight that maybe they did not have before.

I break my videos down into two parts:

A. Basic welding fundamentals: just every day welding topics that will lead them into the welding profession
B. Master Class: advanced topics that if they apply them in their careers, they will be first class welders faster (and make more money faster)

So far I have done:
Basic:

Where to weld (and not weld)
Starting an arc with used rod
Understanding Duty Cycle
Welding Electric Safety
Welding Eye Safety
Welding Hoods
Hard Surfacing
When to Say No to Welding
AC versus DC Welding

Master Class:

What is Pulse Welding (and why it is so prevalent today)
Welding Cast iron
Mirror Welding
