Question, was that your original bucket or did you use an extra bucket? I see that it's welded on so that implies some degree of permanence.

It is the original bucket. For my intended uses it will live on this bucket most of the time. If I want to remove it, it's six pins and two hoses, not a big deal.
I guess it is pretty much a permanent addition though.
Winter time I run a dedicated snow plow, it's an old Meyer that I was able adapt with a quick attach.

You will find a Grapple is one of the most useful implements you have. I use mine as much as all the rest combined.

Thank you, it's been a tool I've wanted for a long time. Should make life easier! ?

I get firewood every few years by semi truck load, about 10-12 cords in log form, depending on how long they stick out the back. The Grapple makes such easy (still hard) work of cutting and stacking logs, into rounds.
I transport half logs from the log yard, to the sawbuck in front of the wood shed, saw and stack right there.

Wow that's beautiful work! I like that you put a nice finish coat of paint on it too. I have never understood fabricators and repair guys who send things out the door ready to rust. I always clean things up and put some paint on it.

One of those would look good on the bucket of my Caterpillar backhoe. Might be good for log handling.

Awesome job. I ran a bobcat with a grapple this past fall for a quick clean up.....ruined me! Now I want one!
