Yes I saw that. I have a pair of jack stands that look exactly like the 3 ton versions bought about the same time from some other place. Probably the same thing.

Looks good. I made a similar table using 1x2 tube for the slats, they can be moved where needed. The box is an old side draft cutting table I found in a scrapyard. It does a very good job of collecting the plasma dust.

Yes I compared many belt grinders over a period of several months. Also looked at making my own from scratch. This outfit offered the best value and at a level of precision I could not approach.

I got a cheap junk drill press off Craigslist to use as a grinder stand. It is solid, inexpensive, and can be set high enough for me to use without bending over.

About 90% of what I need to do can be done with a 70 year old Duro 1/2 press with a slow speed pulley giving 300 rpm. For heavy work I use a mag drill mounted over my cutting table.
