I have looked into buying one too and the $1800 part is why I want to build one. I just don't see why they are that expensive. I figured I could build one for under $500. Thanks for your help with the measurements.

I have an old 8k Warn winch that I would like to make a mount to go on my tractors 3pt hitch. I was thinking about making a single point mount to mount in my 3pt receiver hitch but I'm not sure if I like the single point or if I want two connecting points to help with side to side torque. still...

New member here. I like to stick pieces of metal together for tractor equipment repairs and project. I have been doing it for a while but I'm no welder.

Nice job on the cart. I thought about building one but got a good deal on a decent cart from Harbor Freight. It hold my MIG and plasma cutter. Not as nice as a custom build like yours.

Mig was easier to learn than stick welding for me. Not that I can do either very well. I have more than a lot to learn. Would like to try Tig next.
