This month's contest gave me a good reason to finally getting around to building a stand for the electric post drill press my great grandfather made sometime in the late 1920’s or in the 1930's. I found it in the basement of my Father's house after he passed, but never seen it growing up, nor heard about it, like I did some of the other things he made or added electric motors too, like he did with wringer washing machines.

Going with the “made from scrap and galvanized water pipe” theme, I used scrap steel and scrap irrigation pipe.

Used some left over Rustoleum primer and truck bed primer to give it texture, and shot a few coats of their farm implement paint on it.

Found some scrap 2" plywood for the top.
