Welder
Snap-on MM250SL
So I am new to welding. I just bought a new Snap-on MM250SL welder for my home use. Question about gas welding. I will be using flux core wire since I will be in the garage and with the door open (windy). I was thinking of only getting a # 60 tank with strait Argon for any aluminum welding. I don’t think I will be welding much aluminum? What is your Thoughts on this. The welder came with 10LBS of bare wire but I think I will just store it for now. Thanks for the advise.

I bought my mig welder from an experimenter so it included several 2 lb spools of brands he had tried. None of those work as well as what was suggested on here, INE flux core. It smokes less so you can see what your are welding, less splatter, feeds smooth, welds look good. I suggest try this if you will begin with flux core.
