    What are you doing today?

I’ll throw a tarp over all the yard equipment, for the rest of the winter, and I feel good about the way there stored. I will drive the SxS around during the winter, but not as much as summertime

    What are you doing today?

I spent the day getting fuel prepped, stabilizer and seafoam in the ethanol free stuff. Fired and ran everything, 2 mowers, edger, chain saw, two generators and the side by side. Then mixed stanadyne and cetain boost in the diesel and filled up everything. Spent a couple weeks last month...

    What are you doing today?

I need to grade off 1,400 feet of driveway before winter stays. A little snow covering everything now, but a week in the 40’s and 50’s will clear it off next week. Last finishing touch on the road, then install the front snow blower and rear blade.

    What are you doing today?

We got about 5” of snow yesterday, but it should melt off with weather in the 40’s and 50’s next week. Certainly not ready for a full winter yet

    Firewood rack

It’s still work, but with the log Grapple and lumber delivered to my wood lot, I can set the logs on a saw buck in front of the wood shed, saw them and there right where they need to be. I can do a little at a time, split when needed, and keep the wood shed always full, and load the back porch (...

    Firewood rack

I like to keep it as simple and inexpensive as possible. A few of us used to go get dead standing in the local hills. When I figured in what fuel costs, labor, wearing out equipment etc costs, it’s faster, cheaper, and much easier on the old back to get a truckload of good wood delivered every 4...

    Firewood rack

My Apologies to the OP, as this has morphed into heating related talk, instead of the great build of a wood rack!

    Firewood rack

My shop has 3 areas, or chambers.72’ deep. The front is daily use vehicle parking, covered, enclosed, but no insulation what so ever. Lots of light and sun thru windows. The main work shop ( thru a 16’ wide, 10’ tall rollup door) is where I work on most things, woodworking, fab work...

    Firewood rack

Our house is almost 10 years old, but built well and sealed and insulated, with 12” walls. We get lots of cold and snow (90 miles from Canada, PNW forest area) we severely down sized so only 2,200SF. I can set the thermostat, in case we have to go somewhere for an extended period, but it doesn’t...

    Firewood rack

Had one in the back room of my shop (24x16) fully insulated. It would feel sticky wet. I had to get a dehumidifier. Removed it, and aged a pellet stove. Quick heat, dry and warm. I live in the rain Forest, 80 miles from Canada, lots of rain and lots of snow. Dry works.

    Firewood rack

I had a propane heater in the shop, but propane creates moisture, which on wet or snowy days isn’t ideal. I can warm and dry my snow clothes, placing them near the wood stove.

    Firewood rack

You don’t need AC power of any kind to start a nice warm fire in the wood stove. Just a match, and it’s nice and warm. I still much prefer it over just turning up the thermostat

    Firewood rack

I can set the thermostat and keep the house warm, but I really love the cozy radiant heat you get with a real fire in the wood stove. What s way to enjoy your morning coffee, in front of the fire

    Firewood rack

Wish that was all the wood in needed! I keep 1 1/2 cords on the back porch and 5 more in the wood shed all dry and split, ready to use

    Trailer spare tire mount

A lot of bronco guys pulled their original axles and replaced them with chrome molly larger spline count axles. Many a stock axle had candy cane spiral lines in them from years of use. I gave away a few axles when I moved one time as my trailer has a different pattern now. Start looking for an...
